¡°WTA Leads the Way in Protecting Human Dignity and Opening the Path to a Sustainable Tomorrow.¡±

A warm welcome to everyone visiting the World Toilet Association (WTA) website.

WTA was founded in 2007 based on the noble value that everyone deserves the right to access safe and sanitary toilets. Since its inception, we have collaborated with 66 countries worldwide, leading improvements in global sanitation environments through international cooperation, research, and educational activities.

Today, the value of a toilet has evolved far beyond a mere sanitary facility for waste disposal. Toilets are becoming a core infrastructure that connects climate change response, resource circulation, and social inclusion. At the heart of universal welfare?which everyone should enjoy equally regardless of disability or income level?lies the toilet.

Our association is dedicated to practical projects to protect human dignity, ranging from the 'Toilet House of Hope' project for building public toilets in developing countries to the development of standard toilet models and the hosting of international forums. Furthermore, we will take the lead in spreading innovative and sustainable toilet cultures in line with changing global demands.

WTA will continue to strengthen its solidarity with international organizations, member states, and civil society to dedicate ourselves to the promotion of global health and the common prosperity of humanity.

We ask for your warm interest and support in WTA¡¯s journey as we prepare for an even greater leap forward based on our proud history.

Thank you.
