World Toilet Association goes around the member country and holds Board of Directors Meeting every year, General Assembly every two years. Government Officials, Academic Researchers, Industrial Workers and others including WTA members who are interested in global toilet issues gather to discuss toilet-related issues.
The International Toilet Culture Conference will be held as an additional event, which will be held with each sub-theme depending on the host country. In the conference, experts from around the world will make a presentation about the pending issues to achieve UN SDG6, water and sanitation. Next generation toilet technology products which include water conservation technology are exhibited in conference hall. In addition, WTA operates technical tours so that you can experience advanced toilet technology or problems of the toilet.
The 4th WTA General Assembly and The 3rd World Toilet Culture Conference to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the establishment

International Toilet Culture Conference was co-hosted by Ajou University (Graduate School of Public Affairs). From keynote speech to 9 special lectures, activities of WTA for past 10 years were evaluated, and directions, strengthen of roles and activity goals for next decades were dealt with through whole conference. Foreign Participants were interested in new toilet technologies as well as in UN SDGs Goal 6, IFRC's Water and Sanitation Activity, associative relation between tourism and sanitation, WTA's Globalization and some case study deliverd by various speakers. Conference was fruitful with those lectures, and well organized.
-10 out of 14 (Presidential Group 5, BOD 9) of Board Members attended at the 9th BOD Meeting, and dealt 9 agendas for GA and BOD Meeting itself for 2hours. Upon agendas for General Assembly, new board member(presidential group, board of directors and auditor) election(4th Term), venue and time of next BOD Meeting and GA (Candidate-South Africa presented their proposal), and other major agendas were dealt with. For the BOD decision case, financial problem was discussed related to be an international scale organization. Pre-meeting was organized prior to the BOD Meeting, but still actual meeting time was more than we expected.
-At the 4th General Assembly, 72 participants from 14 countries including observer countries (Zambia, Turkey, Japan). Agendas of Election of GA chairman. New Board Member Election, Revision of Constitution, Venue of Next GA and BOD Meeting was discussed and decided. Also newly elected Board of Directors, Delegations from Observers, and Prof. Shin Kue Ryu on behalf of Conference speakers delivered their greetings, and all participants made a resolution of WTA's developments form a new decade.
The field trip was 1 night 2days away from base camp- SUWON, the program were good including highway resting area toilets and Pyeongchang Winter Olympic facilities, as well as atmosphere among the participants was good too. Due to cold weather and snow foreign participants was good too. Due to cold weather and snow, foreign participants visited indoor places more including Seo-ho Ecological Water Resource Center (Sewage Plant), SUWON Traditional Culture Museum, Haewoojae-Toilet Museum, as well as UNESCO World Heritage Hwaseong Temporary Palace.
